Martha Shadan has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Miach Orthopaedics, a developer of bio-engineered surgical implants for connective tissue repair, since January 2019. During 2018, Shadan served as Global Vice President of Marketing at Smith & Nephew plc, a medical equipment manufacturer, a role she assumed after the company acquired Rotation Medical, a medical device company advancing treatment of rotator cuff disease, where she had served as President and Chief Executive Officer from May 2013 until its acquisition by Smith & Nephew in December 2017. Prior to joining Rotation Medical, Ms. Shadan served as President of the Trauma Division at Zimmer where she managed the P&L for the global business. Prior to that, Ms. Shadan held various leadership positions at Covidien, Bristol Myers Squibb Co. and Merck Millipore. In addition, she is a member of the board of directors of AdvaMed, including Accel, the division of AdvaMed dedicated to addressing the unique needs and challenges of smaller medical device technology manufacturers, and she serves as Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for AdvaMed. Ms. Shadan graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of New Hampshire. She received her Master of Science in Biology from Michigan State University and her M.B.A. from Northeastern University.
